Marvels Spider-man 2 Story Trailer Trailers & Extras

However, as it’s no longer mandatory to have one, you can now play Spider-Man 2 like it’s any other PC game — completely detached from the Sony ecosystem — if you would prefer. We’ll update this post if PlayStation Studios or Insomniac Games reveal an exact release time for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC. In the meantime, here are the PC specs for Spider-Man 2, if you’re curious to see if your rig can run the game or not. But Martin Li is only seen about two times before he and Miles fight, and then he isn’t seen again until he’s redeemed and loses his powers. Spider-Man 3 is shaping up to be all about the Green Goblin and a returning Doc Ock. They are two of the greatest Spider-Man villains, but they’ll need a good supporting cast to back them up.

Players will also have the option to upgrade to the DDE content if they already own the Standard Edition. Pre-orders are also available for both the Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition. Players who pre-order can enjoy bonus suits, additional skill points, and early access to the Web Grabber gadget. Easily jumping off the screen, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 allows players to take control of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, freely switching between the two on the fly. More is definitely more in this case, as players follow individual storylines and take side missions, some exclusive to each character. They face new challenges, both internally and externally, as they navigate the balance between personal and superhero lives. Both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have plenty going for them. They both have near-similar gameplay elements while also setting themselves apart, thanks to new changes to the old recipe. Today, we’re comparing everything from the gameplay to the cosmetics to find out which Marvel’s Spider-Man game did it better than the other.

Very High Ray Tracing Requirements (1440p @ 60 Fps)

It’s literally called Spider-Man 2 (2023) , and it’s written by Christos Gage and illustrated by Ig Guara. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 welcomes players back to the hustle and bustle of New York City and puts Miles Morales and Peter Parker into the shared spotlight. While the adventure to take down Kraven is mostly linear, offering players a straightforward narrative, there’s still a lot of side content to dive into, like combat challenges, collectibles, quests, and much more. For the first time in the series, you can now switch between both Spider-Men, using their individual skills to explore different parts of the story. This isn’t just a simple character swap mechanic – how you use them is fundamental to how you progress through the game. Besides the change of main antagonists, there are also villains to fight against all across New York City.

A Flawed Port Of A Flawed Sequel

Otto Octavius later turns into Doc Ock and frees Mr. Negative, Electro, Vulture, Rhino and Scorpion to form the Sinister Six. Doc Ock takes the Devil’s breath and releases it in Times Square, also infecting Aunt May. While Mary Jane informs Peter of the location of the cure, Spider-Man is forced to build a new armored suit in order to defeat Doc Ock, who has beaten Spider-Man and taken Osborn and the cure. Marvel’s Spider-Man shows a more experienced Peter Parker than we usually see, as he’s been Spider-Man for around 8 years already at this point. Still, while he may have mastered his fighting skills, Peter still struggles to balance his personal life and his life as a crime-fighter.

Here are the games released during 2025 that have won major industry awards or received nominations for those awards. We’ll update our awards tracker whenever new awards and nominations are announced. Fight against a variety of new and iconic villains, including an original take on the monstrous Venom, the ruthless Kraven the Hunter, the volatile Lizard and many more. Two editions of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available when it launches on PC on January 30th, including the Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition (DDE).

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is available to PC players on January 30, 2025 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Developed by Nixxes, this version offers PC-enhanced features to Insomniac’s game, including new ray tracing options, upscaling, ultra-widescreen support, and more. Here’s everything you need to know about Spider-Man 2’s PC differences, upgrades, and specs.

The book leads directly into the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man, first introducing Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, as he returns to New York, only this time he’s built himself a pretty sturdy reputation as an altruistic entrepreneur and philanthropist. Now you can build up height and speed with web-swinging before quickly switching to Web Wings to glide in areas like Queens, where there are few tall buildings. With the new interactive elements like super slingshots and wind tunnels that act as jet streams, Spider-Man has never been faster in the air. Traversing New York City feels more exhilarating in the sequel, thanks to introducing the new web wings that make getting around easier and more fun. 88vv can’t help feeling that traversal is faster in the sequel, too, partially due to the web wings.

I’m currently studying Journalism and write for EarlyGame’s Gaming and LoL categories. Whether it’s Stardew Valley, Dead by Daylight or even League of Legends, I love playing and writing about all sorts of video games! With the Spider-Men slinging around some serious upgrades, it makes sense that the skill trees have experienced a boost, too. There are now three different skill trees to develop as the game progresses. The two individual strands focus on what makes each hero unique, such as Miles’ bioelectricity and invisibility, and Peter’s Spider-Arms and Symbiote powers.

The fundamental difference is that this time both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are playable. The playable character changes during certain plot points, for example, if one of them isn’t able to arrive somewhere in time or when they need to split up. The only villains we get are Kraven, Venom, Sandman, The Lizard, and Mysterio (kind of). They set up The Chameleon and Carnage but they don’t actually do anything. And that’s not even mentioning side characters like Silver Sable who easily could’ve returned in some capacity.

Arriving on May 6, otherwise known as Free Comic Book Day, is a prequel story to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This slice of adventure is set to pit both Peter and Miles against a “new Super Villain whose powers they [don]t understand.” That villain being The Hood. Suits are the key behind unique abilities in terms of both combat and traversal. The sequel is sure to introduce plenty of new Spidey suits for both Peter and Miles, though another layer of depth could be on the way. The new trailer also showed off the new webwings mechanic, as well as the AR tech fitted to Peter’s and Miles’ lenses.

And if you’re hopping into the game on PC, don’t miss our Spider-Man 2 beginners guide, or guides on how to get all suits and where to find all Spider-Bots. The Spider-Man 2 PC specs are coming in hot, with publisher PlayStation Studios dropping details about the PC port’s system requirements just a day before launch. The DLC also brings back multiple characters from the base game like Yuri Watanabe, Silver Sablinova and Screwball, just to name a few. With the help of his new suit, Spider-Man defeats Doc Ock and takes the cure, but there is only enough left to save either Aunt May from dying or to replicate the formula to save everyone else. Peter chooses to save everyone else, which leads to a tearful goodbye from his loved one.

And, thankfully, it’s the only part of the story they actually did well. Using it to tell a tragic tale of two friends, instead of the more standard Eddie Brock story. You can see a summary of the PC features for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in the trailer above and see a rundown of the system requirements in the table below, while the folks at PlayStation Blog have a more detailed breakdown of the nuts and bolts.
